Kimberly Avery

Public Finance Paralegal

Kimberly is a public finance paralegal based in the firm’s Tampa office. She has almost two decades of diverse experience in the legal field, the last nine (9) of which have been focused on public finance and special project financing. She received her B.A. from the University of South Florida and obtained her paralegal studies certificate from Hillsborough Community College.  Kimberly’s public finance experience includes assisting her attorneys as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, bank counsel, borrower counsel, special counsel and underwriter counsel on financing for a wide range of governmental and non-profit clients. She has participated in transactions related to cities, counties, municipalities, school districts and other local government entities, and in numerous transactions for senior living facilities, K-12 charter school facilities, higher education and other nonprofit education facilities, transportation, water/sewer/electric utilities and solid waste disposal facilities, airport improvements and other general governmental projects.

Throughout her career, Kimberly has worked across a wide range of legal areas, including family, criminal, personal injury, and civil law. Her extensive background in both transactional law and litigation has allowed her to develop a well-rounded skill set, providing high quality legal services and strong support to clients. She is a Florida Registered Paralegal and Notary Public with the State of Florida.
